𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰:
Founding and developing the Flix For Hope brand (A non-profit drive-in theatre event brand) I wore many hats including event organizer, marketer, graphic designer, and everything in between.

I was responsible for writing out letters, and emails and building sponsorship packages to entice local businesses to large multimillion-dollar establishments to partner with us.

We had media sponsors from Bell Media (Virgin Radio, The BEAR, CTV), various in-kind sponsors from location to equipment, and financial sponsorship from multiple local businesses sold at different sponsorship levels to cover operating costs.

All of this was executed and received during a global pandemic seamlessly. From permits to managing/onboarding volunteers, the event went for over 12 hours without a hiccup. A true testament to the organization and forethinking that went on behind the scenes.

𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐔𝐬𝐞𝐝:
• Project management
• Strategic messaging
• Storytelling
• Collaboration

𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞:
Our first event was sold out in a day, at $50 price points raising $17,000+ in gross profit and $12,111 in net profit, all donated to The University Hospital Foundation.

Through this, my co-organizer and I were personally recognized and acclimated by the president of The University Hospital Foundation. Additionally, Flix For Hope was recognized as a notable donor by the foundation itself.

Our second event was held at the Edmonton Expo Centre also raised notable numbers with a single show, and 4 hour event bringing in over $5000+.

Due to the sophistication of the venue and lack of pandemic, we were able to have local community vendors for food & drinks who donated 25% of their proceeds to the cause. This was just one of the many sponsorships we had.

The success of both events can be attributed to strong organizational skills, effective positioning during, and strategic collaborations.
