About Melanie Morales

For the last 5 years, I've traveled the world, continent to continent, living nomadically, and successfully helping companies increase their bottom line through marketing and sales.
​
In an abridged version, I started my journey doing direct sales for 4 years knocking on doors, selling $6000 contracts to cold prospects, full commission. I quickly fell in love with consumer psychology and what makes people buy so I switched my university major to marketing and became obsessed.
​
Fast forward a few years, I’ve built a steady clientele of companies ranging from local Edmonton SMBs to VC-funded SaaS startups- all while living in foreign countries and big American cities. I work as a contractor for some but also own a business in which I have several contractors work for me.

As you can imagine this type of lifestyle gives you no other choice but to be self-motivated, highly adaptable, and obsessed with project management (as I have to manage my contractors, clients, and often their contractors too).
At this point, I’m familiar with all the project management and MarTech you can think of. Moreover, tech that helps businesses work smarter, not harder.

Most of all I wake up every morning obsessed with what I do and hungry to learn more.






Objectives
I really do believe working in-house is going to offer something that traveling remotely can’t- and that’s the ability to work in a collaborating, inspiring environment where ideas can be bounced off each other and deepened.
After working for 5 years remotely and living the “dream life” around the world, I can confidently tell you the grass is not greener.

I got the most hands-on experience out of those years, however, at this point, I want to collaborate with a team in one spot. Working 100% remotely you are predisposed to communication silos and feeling like you're on an isolated island which can kill creativity.
​
My goal is to collaborate and make an impact within a team, immersing myself fully in my work.
